Gov. Reynolds adjusts restrictions on high school sporting events; bars and restaurants

Another Iowa Proclamation of Disaster Emergency for the virus expires at midnight tonight – so Gov. Kim Reynolds held a press conference to talk about the looser restrictions going forward and to give an update on the vaccines movements and priorities.

This update to the proclamation will be in effect until after January 8th. Gov. Reynolds first changed how bars and restaurants will operate until then:

In vaccine news, Gov. Reynolds’ team explained that the first priority for distribution is health care workers and nursing home residents. After that, Iowa will start distributing to people in essential work settings.
