Osage schools get sizable grant to help fuel already budding computer science program

The Osage School District is known for championing computer science in their curriculum. And not only in high school and middle school – but their elementary students are required to learn computer science as well. Superintendent Barb Schwamman says due to this continued dedication to this craft, the school has received another computer science grant.

Schwamman says that learning computer science at a young age is not only about coding but about creating capable collaborators and problem solvers.

She says the $28,000 they received from the grant will be used directly to fuel the development of this program.

Osage schools also pushed the implementation of technology into their classrooms by bolstering one of the area’s best esports teams.
