Air Quality Alert issued for the area

Charles City, IA – Air Quality Alerts were issued for portions of eastern and north-eastern Iowa through noon on Sunday.
The combination of stagnant air and increased fine particle concentrations is expected to create unhealthy conditions for sensitive groups until the air quality improves around noon on Sunday.
Sensitive groups include the elderly, those with respiratory or heart disease and children.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources recommends that individuals in these sensitive groups limit prolonged outdoor exertion until air quality conditions improve.
