Butler County man sentenced to prison for illegal gun possession

Clarksville, IA – A Butler County man was sentenced to three years in federal prison for illegally possessing guns.
35-year-old Michael Limkemann of Clarksville, was given three years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
Limkemann pleaded guilty back in September to illegally possessing a firearm as a felon and drug user. Limkemann admitted to possessing a .22 rifle while being a user of methamphetamine and marijuana with evidence showing that he gave the rifle to another drug user.
Agencies assisting in the investigating included the Clarksville PD, Butler Co. Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Enforcement.
