Home repair funds are available through NIACOG

Mason City City, IA – Two programs through the North Iowa Area Council of Governments could help fund home repairs

There are two programs available through NIACOG in Mason City that could provide funds for home repairs to those who qualify living in Floyd County.

One is the Emergency Home Repair Program for those over the age of 62 and disabled.

The other program is the Cerro Gordo and Floyd County Home Repair Program and is available to Cerro Gordo or Floyd County residents with a priority being given to those who are over 62 and/or disabled.

These programs are both administered by NIACOG and the phone number to call with questions is 641-423-0491 Extension 16 or Extension 27.  These programs are open until the funds are depleted, so be sure to apply as soon as possible.

For more details, go to the NICOG website.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
