Florida man charged after weekend gunfire at C.C. motel

Charles City, IA – A Florida man is facing charges after gunfire leads to an evacuation of a motel.

Charles City Police say they were called to the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue at around 10pm Saturday night after gunshots were reported inside a motel.

52-year-old Harry William Luciow II of Southport Florida is facing charges including second-degree criminal mischief and reckless use of a firearm. Police say he fired a gun 6 or 7 times damaging motel walls, electronics and plumbing, with all of the damage confined to one room.

Luciow II was booked into the Floyd County Jail with bond set at $7,000.
