Donald D. Fullerton, 80, Rockford

Donald D. Fullerton, 80, of Rockford, died Thursday morning, April 29, 2021 at Mercy One Hospice, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church, Rockford. Officiating will be Rev. Dennis Burns. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Rockford. Per church guidelines, masks are required during the visitation and service.

Donald Douglas Fullerton was born on February 9, 1941 in Rockford, the son of Richard and Patricia (Patton) Fullerton. He graduated from Rockford in 1959 and then began his lifelong farming career. He was united in marriage to Jan Johnson on February 5, 1961 at the Rudd United Methodist Church. This past February they celebrated 60 years of marriage. They raised beef cattle and crop farmed their entire life on their farm south of Rockford.

Survivors include his wife Jan, children Julie (David) Andersen, Douglas Fullerton and Steve (Wendy) Fullerton all of Rockford and Kevin (Dawn) Fullerton of Richey, Montana. Grandchildren include Tyler Andersen, Kelsey Andersen, Ryan (Yunjeong) Fullerton, Brennon Fullerton , Danielle (Jake) Naig, Mackenzie Fullerton (Jamie Keller), Matthew (Cari) Fullerton, Sydney Fullerton, Dylan Fullerton, Makayla Fullerton (Nathan Knudtson), and Melody Buffalo. Great grandchildren are Natalie and Lucas Naig. He is also survived by his mother Patricia Fullerton, three sisters Nancy Kendrew, Kay Mohring and Dixie Fullerton as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Fullerton, as well as his mother and father-in-law Earl and Garnet Johnson.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
