State Rep. Prichard Says Legislature Didn’t Provide Iowans Enough COVID Assistance

District 52 State Representative Todd Prichard (D) of Charles City says lawmakers missed an opportunity to help Iowans get through the COVID-19 pandemic quicker during the now-concluded 2021 Iowa Legislative Session.

Prichard says while the state is getting closer to returning to a more normal way of life, legislators could have done more during their time in Des Moines.

Prichard says there could’ve been more focus during the legislative session on the pandemic that would have put the state on the road to recovery quicker.

The Iowa Legislature closed the 2021 session last night, almost three weeks after their scheduled date of adjournment of April 30th.
