Efforts to raise money to build a new splash pad in Elma include a can drive tomorrow.
Elma residents wishing to donate their cans and bottles are to have them bagged or boxed and placed by the curb by 8:30 a.m. for pickup. Out-of-town donations are also welcome and can be dropped off at the Tossed and Found parking lot between 9 and 11 a.m.
All proceeds generated from the can and bottle deposits will benefit the Elma Splash Pad Project. The splash pad would be built in Elma City Park at an estimated cost of $150,000. According to the project’s group Facebook page, they had raised almost $123,000 as of April 27th.
