They’re not Oscars, but First Security Bank and Trust of Charles City will gladly accept the five awards they received Saturday at the 2021 Iowa Motion Picture Awards.
First Security was honored for video content created to promote the bank and its services, winning two first place Awards of Excellence. Their campaign “Egg Partner” won in the category of commercials with a production budget under $1,000 and “High School Culinary Team Goes to Washington” won in corporate and community marketing.
In a media release, Marketing and Communications Manager Matt Bradley said, “We create videos for several reasons, including to educate people about their finances, share stories of impactful programs in the community, and sometimes just to make people laugh. We have a lot of fun doing it and it’s nice to be recognized for something we enjoy.”
First Security had three video campaigns selected for second place Awards of Achievement. “No More Bankers’ Hours Panic” in the category of commercials with a production budget under $1,000; “U Can Come In” for digital marketing; and “High School Students Create Streaming Channel” in corporate and community marketing. They had six nominations in all.
