North Iowa Teens Facing Multiple Robbery Charges

Two north Iowa teens now face robbery charges in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred last month.

According to court records, 18-year-old Jaden Edel and 17-year-old David Gordon, both of Belmond, were part of an altercation in the 200 block of 15th Street Northeast in Mason City on April 1st. Edel allegedly assisted with holding down a male victim while Gordon stabbed the victim multiple times in the back. Another victim was also stabbed in the head while being held down. Both victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.

Upon further investigation, authorities alleged Edel and Gordon stole property from the victims and both were arrested Monday on two counts of first-degree robbery. They were booked in the Cerro Gordo County Jail and were being held on $250,000 bond each.
