Kalia Strickler, 23, Osage

Kalia Strickler, 23, of Osage, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Prairie Lakes Church in Osage with Ken Emerson officiating.

Kalia Rae Strickler, the daughter of David Strickler and Rebecca (Duryee) Benttine, was born on September 9, 1997 in Osage. She graduated from Osage Oasis in 2016. She then attended NIACC to receive her CNA certificate. Kalia was very passionate and went above and beyond to care for her residents.

Kalia enjoyed spending her time riding 4Wheelers, mules and horses, and her Harley Davidson motorcycle. She also loved to spend time with her family and friends. Above everything in her life, Kalia adored and cherished her son, Alan.

Living family members include her son, Alan; mother, Rebeca (Curtis) Benttine; father, David Strickler; sister, Dawn Benttine (Justin Spilde) and daughter, Ella Gogg; sister, Linda (Sam) Ransom and daughter, Noel; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sharon and Verne Duryee; grandparents, Wilma and Clayton Benttine; uncle, JD Strickler; and uncle, Alan Duryee.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
