Both Suspects in February Charles City Violent Burglary Now Sentenced 

Both men charged in a home invasion in Charles City earlier this year now know the sentences for their crimes.

18-year-old Booker Dean Wilder-Happing and 20-year-old Chris Paul Richard, both of Charles City, were arrested for breaking into an apartment in the 900 block of 13th Street in Charles City, attacking someone inside, and stealing a safe on February 6th.

According to court documents, Wilder-Kapping pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal mischief and assault causing bodily injury and has been given seven days in jail, with credit for time served, and two years of supervised probation. He must also successfully complete all recommended substance abuse treatment and pay a $430 fine.

Richard previously pleaded guilty to attempted third-degree burglary. He was sentenced to 87 days in jail with credit for time served.
