Heartland Days Friday and Saturday in New Hampton

Heartland Days makes their return to New Hampton this Friday and Saturday.

The event, a major fundraiser for the Chamber of Commerce, was cancelled last year due to COVID-19. Chamber President Bobby Schwickerath says while they suffered a financial hit, they were able to weather the storm for this year thanks to the flexibility of vendors and businesses who sponsor the festivities.

Heartland Days gets underway Friday with a parade at 6 p.m., plus glow-in-the dark frisbee golf tournament and live music by The Dweebs from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday’s activities start at 8 a.m. and include softball and pickleball tournaments, hot dog eating contest, Little Miss Heartland Pageant, the Vic Ferrari Band live from 8 to 11:30 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.
