Howard County Man Arrested on Felony Firearms Charge

A Howard County man faces a felony gun charge after his involvement in a disturbance Friday afternoon.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to a disturbance at a residence on 236th Avenue in Burr Oak at about 1 p.m. Deputies located two people involved in the incident near Farmers Winn Co-op along Highway 52, just south of Burr Oak.
Arrested was 27-year-old Jordan Harrington of Chester on charges of being a felon in illegal possession of a firearm, a class D felony, and violating a no contact order. He was booked into the Winneshiek County Jail.
The incident remains under investigation with additional arrests and charges pending.
