Buffalo Days, Firemen’s Ball Saturday in Nora Springs

Buffalo Days and the annual Fireman’s Ball make their return in Nora Springs Saturday (06.26)

Nora Springs Impact Group President Josh Sturges says the annual event, a fundraiser to support scholarships and community organizations, took a financial hit being cancelled last year by COVID-19. However, he says with good planning in previous years, they’ll “weather the storm” as best they can.

The Buffalo Days parade starts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with activities to follow in Boulder Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., including the Buffalo Feed, which Sturges recommends getting there early.

The day’s festivities are capped off by the Fireman’s Ball at the Fire barn from 7 to midnight as an annual fundraiser for the Nora Springs Fire Department.
