Man Driving Stolen Charles City Car Arrested in Clear Lake

A man driving a vehicle reported stolen out of Charles City has been arrested in Clear Lake.
Authorities say 34-year-old Mitchell Stevens of Northwood was taken into custody Thursday night after witnesses reported they saw Stevens in the vehicle. Law enforcement also received a video of Stevens driving the vehicle.
When Stevens was located and arrested, officers found him in possession of a 2006 Chrysler 3000 that wasn’t his and he had the car keys in his pocket. Stevens is facing a felony theft charge for the stolen vehicle and, after he attempted to escape authorities on numerous occasions during his arrest, he was charged with interference with official acts-bodily injury.
