With city offices closed Monday in observance of the Fourth of July holiday, the Charles City City Council will meet tonight (07.06) in regular session.
The agenda includes public hearings to consider and take possible action on development agreements with Charles City Area development Corporation, with Main Street Charles City and with Mike Molstead Motors. The council is also expected to go into closed session to conduct regular performance evaluations for the City Administrator, City Clerk and City Attorney.
The council meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall with some members in the council chambers after months of many meetings conducted via Zoom. Anyone attending in person is asked to observe six-feet social distancing. The New Hampton City Council also meets in regular session tonight. On the agenda is the third reading of the ordinance establishing the fee schedule the city assess for permits and other services, plus a public hearing for a 2021 amendment to the city’s Urban Renewal Plan. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
