Floyd County Fair Opens Tuesday (07.13)

The 2021 Floyd County starts it’s six-day run on Tuesday (7.13) and unlike last year, the fairgrounds just west of Charles City will be open to all who wish to attend.

The public wasn’t allowed at the fair last year amid COVID-19 safety concerns and in 2019, the fairgrounds were hit by a tornado less than two months before the fair began. Fair Board President-elect Kelsey Uetz says while most of the rebuild from the storm is complete, work continues on the new home for the popular 4-H food stand.

Uetz says the fairgrounds will be among the best in the state once the long comeback is finished.
