COVID Shots Available at Floyd County Fair

Daily reporting of positive coronavirus cases by the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) is ending today (07.15).

The IDPH COVID dashboard will be moving to a weekly update, but  Floyd County Public Health Administrator Gail Arjes says that doesn’t mean her department won’t know when a positive case is present in the county.

AArjes reminds those that haven’t been vaccinated that shots are readily available at the public health office, Hy-Vee in Charles City and at this week’s Floyd County Fair.

While COVID positivity rates are low and restrictions which kept the general public off the fairgrounds last year have been lifted, Arjes still advises that if you don’t feel well, stay home and avoid large gatherings of people.
