Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office Raising Funds for Injured K-9

Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office K-9, Duke, is on the mend following a training-related injury.

Handler and Deputy Stephen Johnson says Duke tore an ACL earlier this month and it could be almost two months before he’s back in action.

Johnson says fundraising to offset Duke’s medical expenses is going well through t-shirt sales, GoFundMe and donating directly at the sheriff’s office.

Johnson has been partnered with Duke since 2017 when they were both with the City of Nashua.

You can find more information on donating to Duke’s recovery on the Chickasaw Co. Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
