A Fayette County man has been arrested for the theft of over a dozen tree stands.
On July 23rd, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of stolen tree stands and a trail camera from a property north of Wadena. After a week-long investigation, 43-year-old Kyley Baethke of Wadena was arrested and deputies recovered13 tree stands and one trail camera. On Tuesday (08.03), a warrant was issued for Baethke and he was charged with second-degree theft, a class D felony, and three counts of trespassing, which are simple Misdemeanors.
Also on tuesday, 50-year-old Steven Jones of Cresco, was arrested in Cresco on a Fayette County warrant for failure to appear in court. Jones was originally charged for possession of contraband in a correctional facility. He transported to the Fayette County Jail in West Union.
