The City of Nora Springs is advising its citiznes to boil water first before using it.
The boil water notice went into effect at 1:30 p.m. Monday (08.23) and will remain in effect until further notice. Officials say water from the tap should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute, then allow it to cool before using it.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and preparing food. Residents will be informed when tests show that boiling water is no longer needed.
Those with questions should contact City Hall.
