  Turkey River at Spillville affecting Winneshiek County.

For the Turkey River...including Spillville, Elkader, Garber...Major
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...The Flood Warning is now in effect until late Wednesday morning...

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Turkey River at Elkader.
* Until late Wednesday morning.
* At 8:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 15.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is rising and expected to crest near 24.0
  feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday
  afternoon.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 22.6
  feet on 08/26/2016.
