358 AM CDT Mon Aug 30 2021

Flood Warning continues for the Cedar River at Charles City.

* Until just after midnight tonight (early Tuesday).

* At 2:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 13.2 feet.

* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage this

  morning and continue falling to 3.7 feet Sunday evening.

 

1230 PM CDT Mon Aug 30 2021

Flood Warning in effect until late Wednesday morning for the Turkey River at Elkader.

* Until late Wednesday morning.

* At 11:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 22.5 feet.

* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* The river appears to have crested just under 23 feet earlier this

  morning.

* Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage

  tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon and continue falling to 6.1 feet Monday morning.

 

1230 PM CDT Mon Aug 30 2021

Flood Warning is now in effect until early Wednesday afternoon for  the Turkey River at Garber.

* Until early Wednesday afternoon.

* At 11:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 22.2 feet.

* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.5 feet

  tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday evening.

 

1244 PM CDT Mon Aug 30 2021

The Flood Warning is now in effect until tomorrow evening for

  the Upper Iowa River at Dorchester Hwy 76.

* At 11:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 14.0 feet.

* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.7 feet

  tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday.

 

851 PM CDT Mon Aug 30 2021

Flood Warning is now in effect until Wednesday morning for

the Cedar River at Janesville.

* At 7:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 14.7 feet and falling.

* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending

  at 7:45 PM CDT Monday was 15.1 feet.

* Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage

  tomorrow morning and continue falling to 3.0 feet Monday evening.

* Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.6

  feet on 05/22/2013.

 

828 PM CDT Mon Aug 30 2021

Flood Warning is now in effect until Friday afternoon for

the Wapsipinicon River at Independence.

* From Tuesday morning to Friday afternoon.

* At 7:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 6.5 feet and rising.

* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* Major flooding is forecast.

* Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late

  Tuesday morning to a crest of 16.3 feet early Wednesday morning.

  It will then fall below flood stage late Thursday evening.

 

851 PM CDT Mon Aug 30 2021

Flood Warning is now in effect until early Thursday morning for

the Cedar River at Waterloo.

* At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 10.9 feet and rising.

* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late

  tonight to a crest of 14.2 feet tomorrow evening. It will then

  fall below flood stage early Wednesday morning.

* Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.2

  feet on 06/15/2013.

 

851 PM CDT Mon Aug 30 2021

Flood Warning is now in effect until early Thursday

afternoon for the Cedar River at Cedar Falls.

* At 7:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 90.5 feet and rising.

* Flood stage is 89.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

* Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending

  at 7:45 PM CDT Monday was 90.5 feet.

* Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 92.4 feet

  tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early

  Wednesday afternoon.

* Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 92.4

  feet on 04/18/1973.
