The flood warning for the Cedar River in Charles City was allowed to expire early Tuesday morning.
Floyd County Emergency Management Coordinator Drew Mitchell told KCHA/KCZE Monday morning that the city was fortunate the water didn’t reach more serious levels.
The National Weather Service in LaCrosse projects the river to be back below four feet deep by the end of the week.
