Chickasaw County Parks Avoid Major Damage in Recent Flooding

While gravel roads in Chickasaw County took a big hit due to recent flooding, the county’s parks made it through in decent shape.

Chickasaw County Conservation Director Brian Moore says the excess rain could’ve made things a lot worse.

While the parks themselves escaped major impacts from the flooding, Moore says the high waters did limit access to some parks.

Moore says while county parks didn’t suffer any one major event associated with the flooding, damages will be included with the county’s submission for possible state and federal disaster aid.
