New Hampton “All American” Homecoming Week

Homecoming Week for New Hampton students begins with a day off from classes.

There is no school today (09.20) for the district because it’s a professional development day for teachers and staff. The theme for the week is an “All American Homecoming” with students asked to dress accordingly for USA Day on Tuesday, followed by country club versus country attire Wednesday, Hawaiian Day on Thursday and Chickasaw Gear Day on Friday.

The king’s coronation is at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with the homecoming parade starting at 3 p.m. Friday. Students will be dismissed from classes an hour early prior to the parade. Businesses and organizations wishing to participate in the parade must have their entry forms submitted at the high school by Wednesday.

The Chickasaw Booster Club will host a homecoming tailgate from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday with free will donation. New Hampton will host Cresco-Crestwood for the homecoming football game at 7:30 p.m.

The week’s festivities wrap up with the homecoming dance from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Hall in New Hampton.
