Chickasaw County, and soon Floyd County, will be looking to hire a new County Engineer following the resignation by the counties’ current shared engineer, Dusty Rolando.
The Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors accepted Rolando’s resignation at their regular meeting Monday (09.27) and Floyd County supervisors are expected to do the same at their regular meeting this (09.28) afternoon.
Rolando’s resignation comes in the wake of an OWI charge on September 13th, his second such offense after first being convicted of OWI in October 2019.
Rolando gave credit to office staff for making his job easier and to the workers out in the field.
Rolando has served as the shared engineer for Chickasaw and Floyd counties since February 1, 2001.
