The number of positive COVID cases over the last week were up in Chickasaw County and down in Floyd County when compared to the week prior.
Data from the Iowa Department of Public Health indicates 60 positive COVID tests in Chickasaw County for the seven-day reporting period ending Tuesday, October 5th, up from 48 the week prior. Floyd County recorded 49 positive tests this week, down from 76 reported a week earlier.
Other north Iowa counties showing an increase this week in positive COVID cases include Cerro Gordo with 126 (compared to 119 the week prior), Fayette with 97 (84), and Bremer with 78 (68).
Mitchell County also had a significant drop in positive COVID tests with 34 this week, down from 64 the week before.
Howard County once again had the fewest number of new COVID cases for the week ending Tuesday with 13.
