A disturbance in Charles City early Sunday morning resulted in the arrests of two people.
The Charles City Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 block of 5th Avenue just after midnight. Upon arrival, officers found several windows broken and a woman locked in a junk vehicle in the yard. Authorities determined the woman was a resident of the home, but there was also a no contact order between her and another resident.
The investigation led to the arrest of 41-year-old Jessica Tyler of Charles City for violation of a no contact order.
Officers also determined that there had been a physical altercation at the residence earlier in the night, resulting in the arrest of 44-year-old Ted Tyler, also of Charles City, for domestic abuse assault involving strangulation.
