An Osage man will spend half a decade in prison after a traffic stop in Charles City last year led to drug charges.
33-year-old Jeffrey Morrison was originally pulled over by law enforcement on May 15, 2020. A search of his vehicle discovered over 10 grams of what appeared to be meth, over one gram of cannabis and other drug-related items. Morrison was arrested for possession with intent to deliver simulated methamphetamine
However, that charge was dismissed as part of a plea deal. Morrison agreed to plead guilty to possession of marijuana, third offense; and has been sentenced to five years behind bars.
