The Winneshiek County Jail has passed it’s latest annual Inspection.
The Iowa State Jail Inspector visited the facility on September 29 and concluded that the jail is a clean, well-managed and well-maintained facility. The inspector’s report also said no areas were in need of improvement or change and commended officials for a job well done on recent major jail improvements recently completed.
Sheriff Dan Marx said in a statement, “I appreciate my jail staff for their continued commitment to the safety and security of the inmates, staff and citizens of Winneshiek County. They are always vigilant and attentive to our inmates’ needs. The Sheriff’s Office is committed to providing the highest level of service and will continue to strive for excellence in everything we do.”
