Rural Floyd County Man Rescued From Well

A man was rescued late Wednesday afternoon after he fell into a well on a farm about seven miles east of Rockford.

Authorities were called to 2135 Highway 14 shortly after 4:30 p.m. to extract the man from the well. It took rescue personnel about 45 to get the man out and he was then transported by AMR Ambulance to Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City for treatment.

No other details are available at this time.

The Rockford, Marble Rock, Charles City, and Floyd fire and rescue departments, and the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
