The number of new positive COVID cases over the last week was up for Floyd County and down for Chickasaw.
The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) coronavirus dashboard shows 62 new positive cases in Floyd County for the seven-day reporting period ending Tuesday, October 12. That was up from 49 from the week before, but still lower than 76 COVID cases the week prior to that.
IDPH data shows Chickasaw County with 43 COVID cases for the seven days ending Tuesday, up from 60 for the reporting period a week earlier.
Cerro Gordo County leads the area again with 122 new positive cases this week, with Fayette County next at 66, Bremer 59, Mitchell and Worth with 35 each, Winneshiek 33, Franklin 31 and Butler 30.
Howard County again had the lowest number of new positive COVID cases for the week ending Tuesday with 23.
