Youth interested in pheasant hunting can do so this Saturday morning at the Gilman G. White Conservation Area just north of Charles City.
Floyd County Conservation Naturalist Heidi Reams says the “Mentored Youth Hunt” will coincide with the start of the youth pheasant hunting season October 23rd.
Reams says the hunt is open to youth ages 12 to 15 who have taken a hunter’s education course. The event is free, but space is limited with registration due by Wednesday.
