Floyd County Public Health Offers Walk-In Flu Vaccination Clinic

Floyd County Public Health will host a walk-in, flu vaccination clinic this Monday.

The flu clinic is offered for anyone 6 months and older at the public health office in Charles City from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Flu shots will cover four strains of influenza. Masks are required to enter the building.

Medicare Part B will be billed, so you must have your Medicare card present.  The cost of the vaccine is $37.00 per dose if you are not Medicare eligible. No insurance will be billed at the clinic.

There will also be scheduled vaccination clinics for children who qualify.  To qualify for these clinics, children must be on Medicaid, have no insurance, or be underinsured.

Floyd County Public Health Administrator Gail Arjes says, if you’ve recently been vaccinated for COVID or are considering getting a COVID vaccine, it won’t prevent you from getting your flu shot as well.
