Harvest Travel Winding Down, But Stay Alert

Harvest season may be getting closer to ending, but there’s still plenty of harvest-related traffic on area roads.

Floyd County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Deputy Travis Bartz advises motorists to be ready to slow down as soon as you see a tractor or farm implement down the road.

And when it comes to assumptions, Bartz says always be prepared for turning farm traffic.

Bartz says harvest traffic extends beyond the rural roads and alerts motorists to grain wagons and grain trucks in town as crops are transported to elevators and co-ops.
