The number of positive COVID cases is on the rise for the second straight week for much of north Iowa.
According to the Iowa Department of Public Safety, Floyd County had 67 positive COVID cases for the seven-day reporting period ending Tuesday, November 16th. That’s up from 58 the prior reporting period. Chickasaw County reported 52 COVID cases this week, up from 50 a week earlier.
Cerro Gordo County continues to see a surge in positive COVID cases with 226 this week, which is almost double the number of cases two week prior. Bremer County has also seen a spike with 111 cases this week compared to 67 last week. Also up, Butler County from 41 to 72, Winneshiek from 48 to 68, Franklin from 30 to 46, Howard from 30 to 39, and Worth County from 19 to 28.
Seeing a decline was Mitchell County with 26 positive COVID cases for the seven-day reporting period ending Tuesday, November 16th, which was down from 35 the week before. Fayette County also saw a dip from 52 cases last week to 49 cases this week.
