MerycOne New Hampton to Host Child, Teen COVID Vaccination Clinics

MercyOne New Hampton Medical Center will host two COVID vaccination clinics for children and teens next month.

The clinics on consecutive Wednesdays, December 8th and 15th, will be for kids 5-11 and 12-17 needing their first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Children must have an appointment and be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You’re asked to allow 30 to 45 minutes for your appointment.

The hospital has made QR codes available to access their scheduling page, with one code for kids 5 to 11 and the second for those aged 12 to 17. They can be found on the MercyOne New Hampton Facebook page.

Contact the hospital or MercyOne Clinic for more information or if you need assistance scheduling your appointment.

The Pfizer pediatric vaccine for kids 5 to 11 is available in Floyd County at Main Street Drug and the Hy-Vee Pharmacy in Charles City.

In a recent kids vaccine clinic hosted by Main Street Drug at Lincoln Elementary School, 47 kids aged 5 to 11 received their first of two doses of Pfizer’s pediatric vaccine.
