A second arrest has been announced in connection with a northeast Iowa drug bust last month.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on a residence at 309 John Street in Decorah on October 19th. The investigation has led to Tuesday’s arrest of 31-year-old Riley Kelty of Decorah. He has been charged with a controlled substance violation-methamphetamine, a Class C felony; plus, controlled substance violation-oxycodone/fentanyl, and two counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, all Class D felonies.
Because Kelty is accused of distributing drugs where two minor children were present, he also faces a Class D felony charge of child endangerment. Last week, 30-year-old Marissa Kelty of Decorah was arrested on similar charges.
Winneshiek County Sheriff Dan Marx says additional arrests are forthcoming.
The Iowa DNE, Decorah Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Department of Human Services and the Winneshiek County Attorney’s Office also assisted with the investigation.
