Holiday Fireworks Show to Follow Charles City’s Central Park Lighting Saturday

The holidays will be bright in Charles City on Saturday, November 27th, both figuratively and literally.

In addition to kicking off the holiday season with the new Santa’s Shining Light Display in Central Park, the sky above downtown Charles City will also be lit up with a Holiday Fireworks display at 7 p.m. Main Street Bridge will be closed down for a short time for the approximately 10-minte show organized through Main Street Charles City volunteers, with the fireworks being launched from the bridge.

Making the fireworks show possible this year are sponsors Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home, The Bridge, Cedar Valley Iowa Realty, Dairy Queen, Hot Shots, the Comet Bowl, Central Park Dentistry, Derailed, Tellurian Brewing, The Pub on the Cedar and Calhoun Transportation.

The Santa’s Shining Lights Display in Central Park will be officially lit up at 5:30 p.m., with food trucks and hot cocoa available at the from 4:30-7 p.m. Come view the close to 30 different light displays put up by various businesses and organizations in the community, spearheaded by the Charles City Rotary Satellite Club.
