As part of Santa’s Shining Lights, the Satellite Rotary Club sponsors community caroling Saturday in Charles City.
Bethany Alliance Church is organizing the caroling and invites the public to join in starting at 4 p.m. in Central Park. Carolers will then visit community members and sing Christmas carols. The night will conclude with a soup and chili supper at The Center at 807 South Main Street.
Santa’s Shining Lights organizer Tami Vetter reminds the public that the light displays at Central Park will remain lit through New Year’s Eve. Due to technical difficulties with the timers, the lights are on 24/7 through December 31st.
Vetter adds that sponsors can start taking down displays in the park on January 2nd and all must be removed by January 10th. She says spots are already filling up for next year.
Vetter says the Memory Lane light display also continues along Riverside Drive from Joslin Street to the walking bridge. She adds that new signup for the Memory Lane will start mid year in 2022.
