Northeast Iowa Juvenile Charged with Harassment, Assault at School

A 14-year-old juvenile has been charged with harassment and assault for an incident earlier this month at a northeast Iowa school.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to an assault at South Winneshiek Middle School in Ossian on Wednesday, December 8th. An investigation led to charges against the 14-year-old for aggravated misdemeanor harassment and simple misdemeanor assault.

The student was referred to juvenile court services. Per Iowa code, the juvenile’s name will not be released.
