Cleanup is underway in Rudd after the north Iowa community was ravaged Wednesday night by a tornado.
Floyd County Emergency Management Agency Coordinator Drew Mitchell says damages were significant as the twister swept its way from south to north through town.
Mitchell says help is welcomed for the cleanup efforts and asks that volunteers report to the Rudd Fire Department.
Mitchell adds that several entities are bringing in water for residents and emergency personnel.
Mitchell says surveys from the National Weather Service in Lacrosse Wednesday have assessed that Rudd was hit by an EF-1 tornado with wind speeds around 100 to 105 miles per hour.
