Matthews Elected New Hampton School Board President

The New Hampton School Board has a new president, vice-president and two new members.

At the district’s December meeting Monday night, Adam Schwickerath and Bob Ayers were sworn in as the newest members of the school board. Both won seats on the board via write-in votes during the November 2nd election. Also sworn in for another term was Tim Denner, the lone incumbent to seek re-election. 

With the new board convened, Jay Matthews was elected the new board president with Denner elected vice-president. 

Schwickerath and Ayers replace outgoing Board President Joe Rosonke and Vice-President Damian Baltes. Neither sought re-election after serving 12 and 11 years respectively.  Both were recognized for their service and each received a lifetime activity pass to New Hampton school events.
