Drive-Thru Fundraiser Meal for Elma Ambulance Project Saturday

A drive-thru dinner to raise money for the Elma Ambulance Project is scheduled for Saturday (01.08) evening at the Elma Memorial Hall.
Brady Norman with Regional Health Services of Howard County (RHSHC) says the hospital has partnered with the community of Elma to provide an ambulance and full-time staff to be housed in the existing Elma Fire Department.
To accommodate staff and the ambulance, the firehouse will go through an extensive renovation to become the Elma Emergency Services Building. The project is funded solely from donations and fundraisers.
Nate Dockendorf with Elma Fire and Rescue says the goal is to raise $250,000 for the project. The ambulance has already been purchased and Dockendorf adds that construction has already started.
Serving is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday for a $10 drive-thru meal including a pulled pork sandwich, cheesy potatoes, green beans and dessert.
