Two north Iowa stops on Senator Chuck Grassley’s ( R ) annual 99-county tour that were postponed last week, have been rescheduled for this week.
A change in the U.S. Senate schedule forced Grassley to return to Washington last Tuesday and, subsequently, change his kickoff tour accordingly.
His town meeting for Wright County has been rescheduled for this Wednesday, January 26th, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the VFW in Clarion.
Grassley has reset his Chickasaw County town meeting for this Thursday, January 27th, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Chickasaw Wellness Complex in New Hampton.
Before Grassley made his trip to Washington last Tuesday, he was able to host a town meeting in Fayette County at the Oelwein Public Library on Monday (01.17) the very first stop on his 99-county tour for 2022.
This is Grassley’s 42nd year of holding meetings in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties, something he’s done every year since he was first elected in 1980 to serve in the U.S. Senate.
