A special election to fill the vacancy of the District 1 Supervisor in Chickasaw County will be held Tuesday, March 1st.

Elections Officer Laura Wickham notes the last day to file nomination papers with the auditor’s office is Friday, February 4th, with the auditor’s office open that day until 5 p.m.

Voter pre-registration deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, February 14th, unless postmarked on or before Monday, February 14th, which is also the deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed.

Voters may request an absentee ballot at the auditor’s office at any time.   Voters may request and vote ballots at the auditor’s office until 5 p.m. on Monday, February 28th.
