Charles City Rotary Radio Auction Saturday on KCHA

The Charles City Rotary Radio Auction returns this Saturday after a year off due to COVID safety concerns.

Rotary’s Tammy Elhton says they’re back with some 112 items up for bids this Saturday morning from 9 to noon on KCHA (95.9 FM/1580 AM/103.3 FM). With that many items to sell in three hours, Elthon alerts bidders to be prepared for the hectic pace.

Elthon says there are over $9,000 worth of merchandise and services  up for sale during their 12th radio auction and notes previous auctions have raised over $64,000 for community organizations and projects.

50% of this year’s proceeds will go to TLC’s North Gran Plan, as the Charles City childcare center prepares to relocate operations in the former middle school building. Remaining proceeds go to general Rotary projects.

A complete list of auction items can be seen here.
